Church of Esterri d'Àneu Monument · Esterri d'Àneu, Pallars Sobirà, Lleida The church of Sant Vicenç d'Esterri d'Àneu is the parish temple of the town of Esterri d'Àneu, in the comarca of Pallars Sobirà, situated on the bank of the Noguera Pallaresa. It stands in the centre of the town, at the south-eastern end of what was once the walled town, and was built between the 16th and 17th centuries to replace the old church of Sant Vicenç, of which only the ruins known as Sant Vicenç vell remain today. Dedicated to Sant Vicenç Màrtir, it is also the head of a large grouping of parishes in the Pallars Sobirà, including those of Alós d'Isil, Àrreu, Escaló and Espot.
