Castle of Bellera Monument · Sarroca de Bellera, Pallars Jussà, Lleida 11th-century castle, already documented in 904 when it was conquered by Llop ibn Muhàmmad, which gave its name to the barony of Bellera and was the seat of a noble family active in medieval Catalan politics; it even took part in the defense against the French invasion of 1719. It was definitively torn down between the 1960s and 1970s to reuse building material; today only the circular base of a tower 4.6 m in diameter and scattered wall remains survive.
