The fiesta mayor of Sant Esteve de la Sarga is celebrated in a municipality with two 11th-century circular towers: the Torre d'Estorm, which Count Pere Ramon I of the Pallars Jussà endowed to the canonry of Mur in 1099, and the Torre d'Alsamora, about thirty meters tall, one of the best preserved in Catalonia.
