Cave of el Parco Nature · Alòs de Balaguer, Noguera, Lleida Image of Alòs de Balaguer, not of the place itself. The Cova del Parco is located in the municipality of Alòs de Balaguer, in the spot known as les Roques Prenyades, and is declared a cultural asset of local interest. The surroundings present a landscape of limestone and conglomerate with steep relief carved by the incision of the river Segre; the cave lies above 420 metres above sea level and 120 metres above the riverbed. It is a single-gallery cavity, triangular in plan, 10.5 metres long by a maximum width of 4.5 metres at the entrance, which connects westward with a large rock shelter of 5.5 by 30 metres, closed off by a stone wall that probably served to pen livestock in recent times.
