Parish Church of the Assumption of Albesa Monument · Albesa, Noguera, Lleida Image of Albesa, not of the place itself. The parish church of the Assumption of Albesa (Noguera, Lleida) is a simple, spacious temple, completed in 1790. It preserves a stone altarpiece from the second half of the 14th century, much earlier than the current building, considered the most outstanding piece of a group of altarpieces typical of the Lleida region, characterised by the contrast between ornate architectural decoration and more modest sculptural carving.
