Tower of la Llena Monument · la Pobla de Cérvoles, Garrigues, Lleida Image of la Pobla de Cérvoles, not of the place itself. The Torre de la Llena is a medieval building declared an asset of national cultural interest, first documented in 1163 and linked to the old castle of Cérvoles, next to which la Pobla de Cérvoles grew up, in the serra de la Llena. It is a fortress whose exact location is unknown: the historian J. Lladonosa placed indeterminate remains at the Pla de la Mustela, built on a possible 3rd-4th-century Roman settlement with large stone ashlars, although at that spot today only an agricultural building survives, with no trace of Roman remains. Other references place the tower on the serra de la Llena itself. Photo: Baldomer Gili i Roig (Public domain) What to see and do in la Pobla de Cérvoles
