Castle of Vinferri Monument · Juneda, Garrigues, Lleida Image of Juneda, not of the place itself. The Castell de Vinferri was the centre of a rural cuadra documented since 1162, in a place overlooking the valley of the Femosa, where before the hermitage of Sant Jordi was built -of which only remains survive today- a fortified structure seems to have existed. Of the whole complex barely a small fragmented wall of ashlars survives, of irregular proportions, about four metres along its longest side, and a stretch of rammed earth wall much eroded by the passage of time.
