Church of l'Assumpta, built between 1798 and 1804 and consecrated in 1805 in neoclassical style, after years of petitions to the bishopric to become an independent parish; Bishop Torres had described the earlier church as 'extremely dark, damp and indecent', which prompted the townspeople to fund the new construction.
