The rock art of El Cogul, World Heritage

In 1998 UNESCO included the paintings of the rock shelter of el Cogul in the World Heritage declaration of the rock art of the Mediterranean arc. The complex, known since 1908, shows human and animal figures of the post-Palaeolithic period.
