The municipality of la Vansa i Fórnols preserves several Romanesque churches, among them Sant Pere de la Vansa, documented since 1031, with a single nave and barrel vaulting, and Sant Julià dels Garrics, also from 1031, with Lombard arcading and a semicircular apse.
