Castle of el Quer Monument · Cava, Alt Urgell, Lleida 12th-century Romanesque castle, a termenat castle documented since 1004 and as a fortress since 1109; today very little remains, some ruined wall stretches and a barely visible tower incorporated into a neighboring house. It belonged to the counts of Cerdanya in the 11th century and passed by donation to the Pinós family -among them Galceran de Pinós- and later to the Castre-Pinós family; in the 17th century the counts of Guimerà adopted the title of viscount of Quarforadat in connection with this castle.
