Castle of Cabó Monument · Cabó, Alt Urgell, Lleida Romanesque castle from the early 12th century (1115), of which only a few wall fragments survive in the upper part of the village, probably from the fortified perimeter that surrounded the medieval town. Seat of the Cabó lineage, documented since the mid-10th century; in 1185 Arnaua de Caboet married Arnau de Castellbò, uniting the domains with the viscounty of Castellbò. The "Greuges de Guitard Isarn" (c. 1080-1095), one of the oldest written texts in Catalan, records grievances by the lord against the officials of this castle.
