Castle of Brunyola Monument · Brunyola i Sant Martí Sapresa, Selva, Girona The oldest part of the castle, of which only some stretches of wall survive, dates from the 12th century; between 1399 and 1401 it was completely rebuilt and a wall with four corner towers was raised, enclosing the small church of Sant Fruitós. Damaged in the Peninsular War and the Carlist Wars, it was sold in 1834 and converted into a farmhouse; today it is the seat of Brunyola town council.
