Ulldeter Cirque Nature · Setcases, Ripollès, Girona A high-mountain glacial cirque at the headwaters of the Ter river, a fine example of glacial modelling in the eastern Pyrenees, in the municipality of Setcases. It is framed by the Pic de la Dona (2,704 m) to the east, the Pic de Bastiments (2,881 m) to the north, and the Gra de Fajol, with two summits of 2,706 and 2,536 metres, to the southwest. Between 1907 and 1909 a refuge designed by Jeroni Martorell was built there, destroyed in 1939; since 1959 a new one has stood at 2,391 metres of altitude. The area, popular for ski touring, mountaineering and climbing, has the Vallter 2000 ski resort to the north. Photo: Viquipèdia / Wikimedia Commons (CC BY-SA) What to see and do in Setcases
