Santa Cecília de Molló Monument · Molló, Ripollès, Girona Santa Cecília de Molló is the parish church of the hamlet of Molló, in the Vall de Camprodon, built between the 11th and 12th centuries, a notable example of Pyrenean Romanesque architecture. Because of its nave and its position in the valley of the river Ritort, it is a recognisable landmark in the landscape. It has a single nave with a pointed vault and a semicircular apse narrower than the nave, with a window adorned by two archivolts on small columns with capitals carved with plant motifs and anthropomorphic figures. The portal, on the south wall, opens after six steps and preserves an old serpent-shaped bolt, beneath a frieze carved with the seven deadly sins. Notable is the bell tower on the north wall, whose base dates from the 11th century and whose four upper storeys date from the 12th. The parish has been documented since 936.
