Museum of la Terrissa de Quart Monument · Quart, Gironès, Girona The Museu de la Terrissa de Quart was inaugurated on 27 March 2011, following a project begun in 2004 in three phases that rehabilitated the old bòbila (brick kiln) of Can Ginesta, renovated its porch and raised an annexe building linked by a walkway, with funding from the Generalitat, the Diputació de Girona and European funds. It thus occupies an early 20th-century brick factory, with a large kiln where up to 60,000 pieces were fired per batch, and recalls Quart's pottery tradition, documented since the 14th century and still alive in the Fira de la Terrissa held every December. It has interactive museum facilities and an exhibition showing the process of manufacturing terrissa (pottery). Photo: Emma84 (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Quart
