The main festival of Tortellà (Garrotxa), centred on 15 August, the feast of the Assumption of Mary, although events run from the 13th to the 16th. It includes dances and sardanas, open-air cinema, a sardine barbecue, a habanera singing session and the traditional Ball d'en Serrallonga, as well as a popular tornaboda with water thrown through the streets. Events are concentrated in the village square.
