Finestres castle, at 960 m and documented since 947, retains barely any remains beyond a possible cistern and a stairway built against the rock; the Porqueres family held its castellany from at least the 9th century, until the 15th-century earthquakes forced the manorial residence to move to the valley of Sant Iscle de Colltort. An Asset of National Cultural Interest (BCIN 1422-MH).
