Sant Martí de Dosquers Monument · Maià de Montcal, Garrotxa, Girona Sant Martí de Dosquers is the parish church of the village of Dosquers, in the municipality of Maià de Montcal, in la Garrotxa, documented since the 13th century -it is mentioned in 1278 in the will of the bishop of Girona Pere de Castellnou- and which belonged to the episcopal see, whose bishop exercised civil jurisdiction from the castle of the place. It is a Romanesque building with a single nave and semicircular apse, raised over time, to which chapels and a sacristy were added that altered its original structure; it preserves a notable triumphal arch between the nave and the apse, and the bell tower, originally a bell-gable, became a tower with round-arched windows. It holds an 18th-century baptismal font, dated 1766. Photo: Josep Maria Viñolas Esteva (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Maià de Montcal
