Santa Eulàlia d'Ultramort Monument · Ultramort, Baix Empordà, Girona Romanesque parish church of Ultramort, in the Baix Empordà, already documented in 1046 as Sancta Eulalia de Ultramorte and dedicated to Saint Eulalia of Mérida. Some sources consider it the oldest temple in the diocese of Girona for which a consecration is recorded, received from Bishop Gualaric in the year 816, although its current form, of austere style and with a Cistercian influence typical of small rural settlements, dates from the 12th-13th centuries. It has a single nave covered by a pointed vault, with a classicising baroque doorway topped by a pediment dated 1745 and a rose window, and a bell tower at the southwest corner. Inside, a Gothic gravestone from 1340 and a notable baroque monstrance are preserved. From 1316 it was a possession of the See of Girona.
