Sant Climent de Tor Monument · La Tallada d'Empordà, Baix Empordà, Girona Small church in Romanesque style in la Tallada d'Empordà (Baix Empordà), part of the notable ensemble of rural Romanesque architecture of the region. It stands in the settlement of Tor and consists of a single nave with a semicircular apse on a base of natural rock, with a splayed round-arched window and Lombard decorative bands; the façade, raised above street level and reached by a flight of steps, preserves the original doorway, remodelled in 1752 according to the inscription on the lintel. Documented since the late 13th century as a dependency of Sant Esteve de Marenyà, probably of earlier origin, from the 11th century, it was fortified between the 15th and 16th centuries, when a side chapel was added to it; in the mid-20th century a second, perpendicular nave of modern construction was added.
