Sant Andreu de Pedrinyà Monument · La Pera, Baix Empordà, Girona Rural Romanesque church in the municipality of La Pera, within the extensive network of Romanesque temples that characterises the Baix Empordà. Its abside preserved 12th-century fresco murals, the work of an anonymous artist conventionally known as the Mestre de Pedrinyà, which in 1935 were removed and transferred to what was then the Diocesan Museum of Girona, today the Museu d'Art de Girona, where they are displayed in an abside that reproduces their original setting. Despite the loss of considerable fragments, it is the best-preserved example of Romanesque painting in the whole region. Photo: Procsilas Moscas (CC BY 2.0) What to see and do in La Pera
