Wayside Cross of Llinars Monument · Llinars del Vallès, Vallès Oriental, Barcelona The wayside cross of Llinars, a Gothic work of the 16th century located on the Via Romana, on the outskirts of Llinars del Vallès, stands on a four-step plinth with an octagonal stone shaft. On the knop, decorated with plant motifs at its base, nine fairly worn figures survive, among them the legend of Sant Jordi with the princess and the dragon and several figures with attributes that could be apostles; on the front of the cross the crucifixion appears, and on the back a scene of the Virgin, with trilobed ends, two of them broken. No documentary record of it exists; according to the researcher Gallardo, it would not be a municipal wayside cross but a parish one.
