Castle of Montmany Monument · Figaró-Montmany, Vallès Oriental, Barcelona A Romanesque-style defensive structure from the 11th and 12th centuries, now in ruins, also known as the castle of the Moors, of el Prat or of la Rovira, located in the municipality of Figaró-Montmany, in the Vallès Oriental, in the territory of the old rural village of Montmany de Puiggraciós. It stands on a hill among the northern foothills of the Cospinera range, near the Cingles de Bertí, east of the village of Figaró. Documented since 1247, it was governed by the Santaeugènia family until around 1357, when Ramon I de Centelles acquired it from the king, remaining in that family's hands until the late 16th century. In a precarious state of conservation, it is a square-plan castle of which only two walls remain today. Photo: El senyor dels Bertins (CC BY-SA 2.0) What to see and do in Figaró-Montmany
