Dolmen of Roca Sereny Nature · Sant Llorenç Savall, Vallès Occidental, Barcelona Megalithic burial site located on a buttress of the southern slope of the Roca Sareny, in the municipality of Sant Llorenç Savall, at 760 metres above sea level, near the summit. It was discovered in 2005 by hikers from the Unió Excursionista de Sabadell, after a 2003 forest fire had left the rock exposed. It is a rectangular chamber of blocks and slabs of conglomerate and sandstone, 1.5 by 0.6 by 0.5 metres, oriented from southeast to northwest. Excavations from 2005 to 2007 found the remains of at least six individuals, a small flint blade, two perforated bone buttons and pottery fragments, and date it between the Chalcolithic and the Early Bronze Age (2200-1500 BC): it is the first megalithic monument found in the Ripoll valley. Today it is protected by a metal fence. Photo: Catalaalatac (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Sant Llorenç Savall
