Church of Palau-solità i Plegamans Monument · Palau-solità i Plegamans, Vallès Occidental, Barcelona The parish church of Santa Maria de Palau-solità, in the municipality of Palau-solità i Plegamans (Vallès Occidental), became part of the historic centre in the 12th century. Of Romanesque origin, it has undergone later alterations that have changed much of its original appearance; the bell tower, for example, dates from the 16th century. Inside is preserved a 16th-century Gothic altarpiece attributed to the Master of Artés. The church forms part of the old parish centre, alongside small clusters of houses, the cemetery and a small square. Photo: Vulcano (Public domain) What to see and do in Palau-solità i Plegamans
