The river Llobregat, as it passes through Castellbisbal (Vallès Occidental, Barcelona), marks the municipal boundary at its confluence with the riera de Rubí, at the outlet of the Vallès depression. The old Via Augusta ran along its bank, and downstream, between Castellbisbal and Martorell, the river is crossed by the historic Pont del Diable.
