1940 flood of the Ter and Ges

The flood of October 1940 devastated the banks of the Ter and the Ges. In Torelló it caused 46 deaths and fifteen missing and made it necessary to rebuild whole quarters; in Manlleu the disaster led to the creation of the Gràcia quarter to rehouse those affected.
