Waterfall of Sallent Nature · Rupit i Pruit, Osona, Barcelona The salt de Sallent, on the Rupit stream, within the municipality of Rupit i Pruit, in Osona, is the waterfall with the greatest vertical drop in Catalonia, at about 115 metres over several successive falls; in rainy periods it is impressive less for its height than for the volume of water it carries down to the pool at its base. The Rupit stream, a tributary of the Ter, rises in the Collsacabra range and, after crossing the village of Rupit and the Rodó and Pomareda waterfalls, plunges almost vertically, separating the Collsacabra from the Guilleries, in a two-stage descent of about 50 metres each, much frequented by canyoners. Below the falls forms the Gorga del Diable (Devil's Pool), on the way to the Susqueda reservoir. It is reached from Rupit, under the 1945 suspension bridge.
