Roda de Ter Main Festival Activity · Roda de Ter, Osona, Barcelona Image of Roda de Ter, not of the place itself. The Festa Major de Roda de Ter, birthplace of Miquel Martí i Pol, features among its protagonists the giants Arnal and Violant, who represent the barons of Savassona. Built in 1952 by the Barcelona workshop El Ingenio, they were unveiled at that same Festa Major: Arnal is 4 metres tall, weighs 62 kilos and carries a falcon on his arm, while Violant, at 3.75 metres and 50 kilos, carries a bouquet of flowers and a wedding ring. The original mould was broken when they were made, making them one-of-a-kind pieces; today they are managed by the Colla Gegantera de Roda de Ter.
