Castle of Saderra Monument · Orís, Osona, Barcelona Image of Orís, not of the place itself. The castle of Saderra is a medieval fortification situated near the settlement of Saderra, in the municipality of Orís (Osona), declared a cultural asset of national interest. It has been documented since 1342, although the place name is already mentioned in 945, when the farmhouse and rural village of Saderra are referred to. Its remains are probably located on a hill west of the church of Sant Marcel, next to which the remains of a farmhouse that would have inherited the castle's name are also preserved. Near the church stands the Saderra farmhouse, a large manor house that preserves all the splendour of the old landed farmhouses, with spacious rooms, antique furniture, portraits and family documentation.
