El Clascar de Bertí (Bertí Castle)

A Gothic and historicist castle, today in ruins, located on the upper part of the Cingles de Bertí, in the municipal territory of Sant Quirze Safaja, very close to and south of the church of Sant Pere de Bertí, to whose parish the old rural village of Bertí belonged. It is reached by an old rural track, now turned into a footpath, which leads from the church to the building over about 650 metres; by vehicle, the access track follows a route somewhat further east. It was listed as bien cultural de interés nacional (Catalonia's highest level of heritage protection) in 1949, a listing prompted by its origin linked to a medieval castle.
