Church of Sant Genís de Vilassar Monument · Vilassar de Dalt, Maresme, Barcelona Parish church of Vilassar de Dalt, documented since 1118 and completely rebuilt between 1511 and 1519 in late Gothic style. Burned in 1936 and demolished in 1941, it was rebuilt again in 1943 to the plans of Antoni Fisas, with a facade of marked Italianate classicism, a central nave with two side aisles and a small transept. It preserves from the earlier temple the 16th-century side portal, carved in stone with semicircular archivolts and an angel sculpted above the keystone. It is protected as a cultural asset of local interest. Photo: Martinge636 (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Vilassar de Dalt
