Church of Sant Martí de Teià Monument · Teià, Maresme, Barcelona The church of Sant Martí de Teià, included in Catalonia's Inventory of Architectural Heritage, gives its name to the village of Taliano, already documented in 961; the church is first mentioned four years later, when it was donated to the see of Barcelona. Rebuilt almost entirely from 1574 under master builder Antoni Mateu, it has a single nave with ribbed vaulting and a square bell tower topped with triangular battlements. The facade combines a Renaissance portal of Montjuïc stone, with a relief of Saint Martin on horseback dividing his cloak, and a flamboyant Gothic window added later. Inside is preserved an altarpiece with early 17th-century paintings by Lluís Gaudín, along with chapels with ribbed vaulting and a triforium.
