Park of la Serralada Litoral Nature · Òrrius, Maresme, Barcelona Image of Òrrius, not of the place itself. A park protecting part of the Serralada de Marina, in the south of the Maresme, and part of the Barcelona Provincial Council's Network of Natural Parks. It has been coordinated since 1992 by a consortium made up of the Provincial Council, the Generalitat, the county councils of the Maresme and the Vallès Oriental, and fourteen municipalities, including Òrrius, and is governed by a special plan approved in 2004. Following the 2013 expansion, it protects 7,400 hectares spread across those fourteen municipal areas; geographically it corresponds to the northern end of the Serralada de Marina, and its highest point is the Turó de Céllecs, at 534 metres.
