Can Bellsolell de la Torre Monument · Arenys de Munt, Maresme, Barcelona Can Bellsolell de la Torre is a house whose origin is documented from the 10th century, next to the centre of Arenys de Munt, with the present building dating essentially from the 16th century: a main round-arched voussoired doorway from the 14th century and late Gothic windows, one of them a twin window with busts carved on the imposts. The tower, square and battlemented —with the date 1652 carved on the lintel of a window and the crowning restored in the late 19th century—, houses on the ground floor a chapel with a Renaissance altarpiece dedicated to Saint Anthony the Abbot, which served as the parish of Arenys de Munt during the Third Carlist War. The house preserves the Bellsolell family archive, with the memoirs of five generations of heirs between 1666 and 1838. Photo: Alberto-g-rovi (CC BY 3.0) What to see and do in Arenys de Munt
