Watercourse that rises near the peak of Griells, in the municipal district of Alpens (Osona), at about 900 metres altitude, and crosses the Lluçanès region from north-east to south-west before entering the Bages and flowing into the river Llobregat, near the Cabrianes bridge, in the municipal district of Artés. Its flow has a markedly seasonal character. As it passes through the municipal district of Sant Martí d'Albars, it is spanned by the municipality's Romanesque bridge, one of the most notable heritage elements of this small rural locality of the Lluçanès.
