Hermitage of Santa Margarida de Vilaltella

The hermitage of Santa Margarida de Vilaltella, in the municipal district of Perafita (Lluçanès region, Barcelona), is documented since 1223 as a chapel dependent on Sant Pere de Perafita. It combines elements of vernacular, Romanesque and neoclassical work, the result of the 1825 renovation, when the walls were raised and the vault, which had collapsed, was rebuilt. Today it is preserved in good condition after recent restoration work, and a religious procession is held there every year.
