Church of la Nou de Berguedà Monument · la Nou de Berguedà, Berguedà, Barcelona The parish church of the settlement of la Nou de Berguedà, in the Berguedà, dedicated to Sant Martí. Of Romanesque structure, with a single nave covered by a slightly pointed stone vault and a central apse flanked by two side apsidioles arranged in a Latin cross, it was consecrated on 19 February 1195 by the bishop of Urgell; it is already mentioned in the act of consecration of the cathedral of Urgell of the year 839. The doorway has three round arches in degradation, and in the 17th century a square tower belfry and two side chapels were added. In the apse a Baroque altarpiece of Sant Martí is preserved, from the 17th-18th centuries. The temple was restored between 1967 and 1972.
