No located remains survive of the castle of Brocà, declared a Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional (Catalonia's highest level of heritage protection): it is thought it may have stood on the site of the farmhouse known as El Castell, above the present-day parish of Brocà, or on the hill that overlooks the village, in the municipality of Guardiola de Berguedà. It belonged to the barony of Pinós and is documented since the year 1257.
