Natural Park of the Serra de Collserola Nature · Sant Just Desvern, Baix Llobregat, Barcelona Image of Sant Just Desvern, not of the place itself. The Serra de Collserola Natural Park is a protected natural area located right within the metropolitan area of Barcelona, between the Besòs and Llobregat rivers, and one of the largest metropolitan parks in Europe. It covers around 8,300 hectares spread across nine municipalities, including Sant Just Desvern, and separates the Barcelona plain from the Vallès depression. Its highest point is Tibidabo, at 512 metres. Mixed pine and holm-oak woodlands predominate, with springs and wetland areas, and it preserves traces of human occupation such as the churches of San Medir and Santa Creu d'Olorda and the Can Coll farmhouse, home to a rural life museum. The Generalitat de Catalunya declared it a natural park on 19 October 2010. Photo: Till F. Teenck (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Sant Just Desvern
