Garraf Natural Park Nature · Begues, Baix Llobregat, Barcelona Limestone massif of 12,376 hectares declared a natural park in 1988 and extended in 1992, spread across the municipalities of Avinyonet del Penedès, Begues, Castelldefels, Gavà, Olesa de Bonesvalls, Olivella, Sant Pere de Ribes, Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú. The torrential spring and autumn rains dissolve the limestone rock and form the characteristic valleys called fondos. It preserves remains such as the castle of Eramprunyà and old abandoned settlements, among them Campdàsens and Jafre. Photo: joan ggk (CC BY 2.0) What to see and do in Begues
