Medieval Enclosure of Santpedor Monument · Santpedor, Bages, Barcelona Image of Santpedor, not of the place itself. The medieval precinct of Santpedor, in the Bages, is the vila closa that gives the municipality's old quarter its medieval character; some gateways of the old walled precinct are still preserved. The settlement's origin is ancient: the place, known as lloc d'Or, is already documented in the year 937, its parish church of Sant Pere, of Romanesque origin, is documented from 996, and the castle of Or is mentioned in a papal bull of the year 978.
