Castle of Castelladral Monument · Navàs, Bages, Barcelona The Castell de Castelladral, documented since 941 as a possession of the viscounts of Cerdanya, had the Castelladral family as feudal lords from 1094; the knight Pere de Vilalta bought it in 1365-1370 and in 1413 it passed to the Peguera family, who kept it until the abolition of feudal lordships. It stands on a barren pass next to the small settlement of Castelladral, the capital of the present-day municipality of Navàs until the 1920s; nearby is the tomb of Castelladral, or del lladre traïdor, in Romanesque style. Rebuilt as a large manor house in the 16th century, only a few courses of roughly worked stone remain today of the original castle, since it served as a quarry for the houses of the settlement.
