Bridge of Vilomara Monument · el Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort, Bages, Barcelona Image of el Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort, not of the place itself. The bridge over the Llobregat that gives its name to El Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort is a work of Romanesque tradition located on the old royal road from Manresa to Barcelona, 130 metres long. Next to it the settlement of Pont de Vilomara formed, which acts as the seat of the municipality even though the main village had traditionally been the small Rocafort; in the late 19th century several textile factories were set up there, which made the population grow with immigration arriving first from the comarca and later from other regions of Spain. Near the village, in the Marquet urbanisation, stands the Romanesque church of Santa Maria de Matadars. Photo: Enfo (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in el Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort
