Sant Miquel del castell de Veciana Monument · Veciana, Anoia, Barcelona Chapel included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia, located in the hamlet of Veciana, in the comarca of Anoia, attached to the town hall, on the site that had been occupied by the castle of Veciana, known since the 11th century. Single-naved with a semicircular apse, it preserves remains of three walls and half of the 13th-century apse, with a window with double splay, along with part of the triumphal arch and vestiges of a brick vault that replaced the original stone one after a collapse in the 17th century. The door opened in the south wall, of which the lower part of the jambs and two stepped stone thresholds survive. Worship was maintained until the 1910s; in 1939 a road cut through the slope beside the apse, causing the loss of its northern half. Photo: Isidre blanc (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Veciana
