Sant Miquel d'Òdena Monument · Òdena, Anoia, Barcelona Sant Miquel d'Òdena is a Romanesque chapel located at the foot of the road from Igualada to Òdena, on a small hill. It has a single nave with a barrel vault about twelve metres long and an apse decorated with arcading and Lombard bands; the voussoir doorway opens in the south wall, sheltered from the cold north winds, and the apse faces east. The sandstone walls and roof, with stone slabs on the apse and Arabic tiles on the rest, date from between the 11th and 12th centuries. Already documented in 1074 as Sant Miquel d'Ullastre, it was a suffragan of Sant Pere d'Òdena in the 17th and 18th centuries, with its own cemetery. A storm destroyed its newly built bell-gable in 1935, and it suffered damage in the Civil War; it was restored between 1976 and 1977 to a design by Joan Bassegoda.
