Megalithic Tomb of els Plans de Ferran Curiosity · Argençola, Anoia, Barcelona The megalithic tomb of the Plans de Ferran is a quadrangular cist located on the boundaries of the municipality of Argençola (Anoia), although a 2007 Generalitat boundary revision assigned it administratively to Santa Coloma de Queralt. It dates from the early-to-middle Bronze Age, between 2000 and 1200 BC. Excavations in 1973 uncovered the remains of at least ten adults and four children from a homogeneous group, with an average height of between 161 and 164 centimetres, together with fragments of hand-made pottery and two bronze rings. The triangular cover slab preserves engravings of Latin crosses of unknown date and two cup marks. The monument is included in the Inventory of the Archaeological and Palaeontological Heritage of Catalonia. Photo: jordi domènech (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Argençola
