Agricultural Centre of Vilafranca Monument · Vilafranca del Penedès, Alt Penedès, Barcelona The Centre Agrícola of Vilafranca del Penedès is a building protected as a cultural asset of local interest, the historic seat of the city's society of rural landowners, whose agricultural gatherings began in 1900 and which also hosted artistic events and society balls. During the Civil War it was the seat of the Revolutionary Committee, and later a cinema was installed inside it. Situated in the 19th-century extension district, with its main facade on the Rambla de Nostra Senyora, it is a building between party walls forming a corner with a covered passage, with ground floor and upper floor under a gabled Arab-tile roof. Its eclectic architectural idiom recalls, through ceramic cladding, the traditional wooden agricultural buildings. Photo: MARIA ROSA FERRE ✿ (CC BY-SA 2.0) What to see and do in Vilafranca del Penedès
