Former Hospital of Cervelló Monument · Olesa de Bonesvalls, Alt Penedès, Barcelona A wayfarers' hospital founded in 1262 by Guillem de Cervelló on the route between Barcelona and Vilafranca; in 1312 it served about 400 people a month, and after the barony was sold to James I in 1297 it passed under royal and episcopal jurisdiction, declining at the end of the 18th century when the road was rerouted. The building, today an agricultural holding in Olesa de Bonesvalls, retains a rectangular plan, a round-arched doorway and a rectangular tower. An Asset of National Cultural Interest since 1988 (BCIN 1127-MH). Photo: Angela LLop (CC BY-SA 2.0) What to see and do in Olesa de Bonesvalls
